Ms. McDonald, B.A., AACI, P.App., is a graduate of Carleton University where she received her Bachelor of Arts, specializing in Geography. Ms. McDonald joined the firm Juteau Johnson Comba Inc in 2002. In 2007, Ms. McDonald obtained her diploma in Urban Land Economics from the University of British Columbia. She received her accreditation from the Appraisal Institute of Canada in 2009.
Before joining Juteau Johnson Comba Inc, Ms. McDonald was employed at the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) as a Valuation Assistant from 1997 to 2002, where she was responsible for the collection of residential and commercial property data for property assessment purposes.
Ms. McDonald has undertaken a wide variety of appraisal assignments on numerous industrial, retail, office and land properties in the greater Ottawa area. Focusing on expropriation files, market rent studies, feasibility studies and self storage appraisals.
She has completed several appraisal reports on expropriation files related to the Ottawa Light Rail Transit (LRT) project regarding subterranean requirements and their impact on the Highest and Best Use of improved properties. Additionally, she has completed numerous expropriation reports for the City of Ottawa on properties located along Main Street, Woodroffe Avenue, Leitrim Road, Hazeldean Road (49 properties) and Trim Road & St. Joseph Boulevard (29 properties).
Ms. McDonald has completed and assisted with numerous portfolio appraisal assignments for institutional, public sector and private sector clients including the City of Ottawa, the National Capital Commission, Richcraft Group of Companies, Domicile Developments, Tartan Land Corporation and Dymon Self Storage, among others. These portfolios are comprised of office, retail, industrial, self storage and land properties.
