Mr. Comba is a partner in the firm where he has been employed since July 1988. He specializes in the appraisal of office buildings, industrial properties, self storage facilities, retirement homes, subdivisions, residential development sites, sports and entertainment facilities and retail projects. He has extensive experience with Argus valuation software. Mr. Comba is also the editor of the firm’s monthly newsletter “of Capital Interest” that details recent transactions in the local real estate industry.
Mr. Comba has conducted numerous portfolio appraisal reports for institutional clients as well as private and public sector clients. He has also completed detailed analytical work on proposed developments and has conducted multiple site evaluations for various owners and developers. In the past several years, Mr. Comba has completed numerous reports for expropriation purposes. Mr. Comba has also appeared as an expert witness in arbitration hearings, the Assessment Review Board, the Board of Negotiations and Ontario Superior Court.
Prior to joining Juteau Johnson Comba Inc, Mr. Comba was employed by a local real estate owner and developer for three years. His responsibilities included the management of office and industrial buildings. In addition, he assisted the vice-president in charge of land development with the planning of numerous residential subdivisions and a commercial development known as Gloucester City Centre.
Mr. Comba graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Political Science. He has been an Accredited Appraiser of the Appraisal Institute of Canada since 1994. Mr. Comba is an active member of the International Right-of-way Association where he was on the local chapter executive for more than ten years. He was the chairman for two years and Treasurer of Chapter 63 for appoximately 8 years. He is also a past President of the Ottawa Chapter of the Appraisal Institute of Canada. Mr. Comba is also a member of Lambda Alpha International, the Honorary Society for the Advancement of Land Economics.
